I would like for the reader to imagine a 50-acre field of corn. Now, think of a hotel/motel and associated businesses placed on the edge, but within, this field. If you can imagine this scene, then you will know what to expect in Highland around the Holiday Inn Express. The first time that my wife and I stayed at this hotel, we noticed that the corn growing beside the parking lot was over seven feet tall. And, it extended as far as we could see.
The hotel is a relatively new addition to the area, appearing to be less than 3-years old. There are spacious rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a hot tub/whirlpool area, and a nice lounge area (which serves a free continental breakfast). The rooms are attractive and kept clean. The personnel in the hotel are friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Holiday Inn has a club, the Priority Club, by which members can earn points during their stays at Holiday Inns and related hotels. The members, also, receive special consideration and priveledges not afforded most customers. Plus, one can earn free nights at these hotels by frequent use. This benefit allows us to make more trips during the year. The club is free upon request.
When you travel to Highland, I would gladly recommend the Holiday Inn Express.
