We were warned about the small hotel rooms in Japan, so we were pleasantly surprised at our room size. It was comfortable with a large concave window overlooking the city. We spoke little Japanese, however, communication with the staff was not a big problem. We appreciated the amenities: internet, refrigerator, kettle, hot plate, tea bags, hair dryer, iron, toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo, and razors. My daughter had only one small complaint. The pillows were 1/2 western style and 1/2 Japanese (rice-like pellets). She found them a little uncomfortable. The hotel gave us a complimentary breakfast which was delicious. It was buffet style with both western and Japanese food offered. The hotel is centrally located and we were able to walk to various shopping malls. The subway is only 3 blocks away and taxis are always readily available out front. Another option that I liked is that the daily maid service is "green" environmentally friendly. You can choose whether or not to have your bed sheets changed daily. A small concession to the future, but one that is important to me. Not all the rooms are as spacious and have the large concave windows. So be careful when booking and pay attention to the room size dimensions. This is not a 5 star hotel, however, since we were expecting less it was an overall pleasant stay.
