We chose to come to this hotel simply because it was cheap and somewhere we hadn’t been yet. What a pleasant surprise we found. The outside of the hotel looks like a brick castle: nice, big, dominant on the view.
Walking into the hotel it looks like a nice Sheraton. Reception is over on the right as you come in. But if you’re a Starwood Preferred Guest member you will get 500 bonus SPG points by using the kiosks just to the left of the reception desk.
The check in agent I used was very helpful and very professional. We were upgraded to a corner room 557 I believe.
When we arrived at the room we were pleasantly surprised by several different things. The size of the room was amazing for a sub-100 rate. The corner room affords views out the back and also the side. The side view is just a parking lot but the back was of a park, the outdoor pool and also a lake with a walking path around it.
The beds were comfortable. Our room had two doubles or queen-size beds in it trimmed in blue. They had one TV and a huge work area with a couple of sitting chairs and an ottoman.
The short hall into the bathroom had a single sink and mirror with closet behind. Included in the closet was the iron and board as well as a hair dryer and robe. The bathroom itself had a simple tub with the curved shower rods all the hotels seem to use these days. I do like them better so it is nice.
