ANGRY!

When getting ready for a funeral on the morning after my stay I plugged in the in-room iron to press a pair of good quality slacks. Immediately after placing the iron to my slacks I realized there was a problem when the iron had stuck onto them. I immediately removed the iron to find a sticky blue-green substance melted into the slacks. I then went to the lobby (with slacks, washcloth and paper towel) to speak to the desk manager to a)bring attention to the dirty/sticky iron overlooked by housekeeping and, b) see how the problem could be remedied (ie: could housekeeping clean them in any way, can I file a claim to replace them, a room discount). In any case I needed something done so I could be at the funeral in an hour and I didn't think that my only other pants (jeans) would be appropriate. The desk manager "took care" of the problem by calling housekeeping. When the lady showed up I thought it was to try to help clean them somehow but instead I was immediately told that it was melted carpet on the washcloth and could she see the iron. She went up to my room got the "clean" iron, found a spot under the table/chair in the corner and pointed that out. I told her that I wasn't responsible for that, was asked why I hadn't checked the face of the iron first an d was basically accused of melting the carpet and purposely ruining my pants. Being in a hurry and absolutely LIVID I had to go buy a pair of new pants and was late to the funeral. At no time was I offered any solution to the problem.

This Hotel appears well used but has been kept in very good condition. Room was reasonably clean. Shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Checking in and out went very smooth. Breakfast had plenty of choices of hot or cold food including orange juice. It was a very good experience overall.

Very disappointed

Worst stay I have ever had. Had to switch romms every night because of various problems, Night staff very unhelpful. Left after finding a pair of dirty socks in my bed. Disgusting, would not have believed it if it hadn't happened to me.

This place is a dump. The worst motel I have ever stayed at.
