Highly Recommended Hotel!

We arrived 3hours before check-in and instead of being turned away, we were actually UPGRADED (no additional charge) and let in early!! The front desk personnel were SUPER friendly...great with directions....and more than willing to help with anything! The room was EXTREMELY nice and updated. Everything about the hotel was AWESOME! (okay, plain ceral for breakfast wasn't the best, but it was FREE and my son liked getting up at 7am on vacation to eat it!) Free wi-fi, nice outdoor/gated pool. We HIGHLY recommend staying in this hotel (safe location, too. and close to highway) We will definitely be staying here again!!

Nice Hotel for the Money

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. The staff at the front desk at check-in and check-out were very pleasant and accommodating. My only issue with this hotel is the adjoining restaurant. Albeit I'm not a big fan of Mexican food, it would be wonderful if I didn't have to point to what I want on the menu because the waiter did not speak english.

Good Value, But Some Amenities Broken

I've stayed twice at this hotel now, and was initially attracted by the good reviews on this web site. Those reviews are correct in the points they discuss -- the rooms are spacious and look like they were recently renovated. They are stylish in decor... sort of gentleman's club, leatherette-style club chair & sofa, with wall art that matches the style. No floral bedspreads here. Ernesto's, the attached Mexican restaurant is a decent place to eat. Now the downside: They seriously need a better coffee at the breakfast buffet. What they serve is so weak & low in caffeine, that it might as well be muddy Ohio River water. Management, if you're listening, I recommend Eight O'Clock coffee, recently recommended by Consumer Reports as a good value. The breakfast buffet itself is on the low side of adequate. It's an all-carb meal. I've done a lot of traveling this year and seen a lot of these breakfast buffets, and this is the least imaginative. Other problems: The hotel seems to have maintenance issues with the lobby computer for guest use and with the exercise room. On my first trip, I pointed out a problem with the lobby computer (someone had changed the home page to MSN Korea). A week later, the problem had not been fixed, and by the 2nd day of that stay, the computer was completely out of service. As for the exercise room, as long as you like a tread mill, you're in luck; the tread mill is in great shape. Don't try the other equipment, though. I've never seen a weight stack where the weights are actually broken, right in two, down the center, which seemed to completely jam the machine. Front desk was clueless on subject of weightroom. Stationary bikes old & rickety, unusable.

What a wonderful stay! I am a single father with two young boys. We had a wonderful time. Excellent location to many things to do. We also parked and flew to Orlando for a week and came back with no problems at all! Must eat at Ernesto's! Excellent food and service! Rooms are very nice and spaciouis. Cant go wrong staying at this hotel!

Wonderful Visit

The last time I scheduled a hotel through ONLINE TRAVEL WEBSITE, it was a bad experience since the Nashville hotel chose to cancel my reservation without notice for a wedding party. So, this time, I called ahead and was pleasantly surprised - it was almost like the hotel was waiting for me to call. Great experience! Check in was a breeze, the room was comfy and clean, the hotel was located very close to throughways and Freedom Hall. The only problem we encountered was incorrect directions, but that has since been corrected.
