Positive impression when first walking into the room. Bed, furniture, carpeting and bathroom are clean and modern. Hallways are carpeted and clean.
Desk and housekeeping staff very professional and friendly.
Excellent (in our opinon) continental breakfast. Fresh fruit and cold or hot cereal are available along with bagels, toast, make your own hot waffles, yogert (various flavors) & big muffins (individually sealed). The hours are convenient: 6-9 M-F, and 6-10 weekends.
If you're a tv watcher, a big downside is that there is only a small selection of cable channels. If you don't mind paying to buy a movie, they seem to have a good selection of recent releases. If you bring your own movies, you're out of luck. The room TVs are modified so that you cannot connect your camcorder, digital camera or portable dvd player for on screen viewing. This has something to do with interfering with the pay per view movie access.
Plenty of electrical outlets in the room, and solid internet access, either wired or wireless. Plenty of ice machines in building.
If you need to go to downtown Lexington, this LaQuinta is just off Newtown Pike, which is a straight shot (about a 5 minute drive) to the west end of downtown.

This was okay for a stopover but an extended stay would be to much. The beds and room were SMALL. The price was about right for the room.
Avoid this hotel!

The rooms here are horrible and dirty. The bedding was stained. There was mold and stains on the ceilings and in bathtub. The closet was missing knobs. The TV/remote didn't work. We tried calling the front desk one evening and no one ever did answer the phone. After we discovered bedbugs in our room (we showed the desk clerk), the only compensation the manager Greg would give us was a free night for a different date. He didn't seem to care about what we went through but was concerned that he wouldn't be able to rent the room for several months. He basically laughed the entire situation off. This hotel should be closed down!

I thought the motel could have been cleaner. One room had black spots around the bathtub. Just the appearance in general did not give us a good feeling.Staff was great! Really nice people
La Quinta

This is a typical La Quinta. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast of juice, fruit, cereal and pastries was sufficient. There is a Cracker Barrel restaurant, a Subway and a McDonald''s nearby if you want something else. The motel is convenient to the Kentucky Horse Park.
