Very disappointed with our stay; room unclean, hair in shower, water in coffee pot, opened shampoo bottle from previous occupant(s), bathroom door lock broken, blood on pillow case, towel rack hanging off the wall in the bathroom. The front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone! The staff at the front desk even admitted to having poor houskeeping.
When I made the call re: a room the previous day the person told me that check in time was @ 2:00. We arrived @ 2:45 and the man at the desk made us wait til 3:00.
Also they do not advertise our have pictures of their pool for a reason..I asked if they had a pool over the phone & I was told yes. The pool is the size of a kiddy pool & is in a terrible location at the back of the building.
This was my first and last visit to a Howard Johnsons. If it wasnt such a hassel to get a refund for our room we would have left immediatly.

Would NEVER stay here again. The room was non-smoking but reeked of cigarette smoke smell. Burn marks on carpet from an iron. Shower had to run for over 5 minutes before you could get hot water. Free Breakfast was "poor" and the motel itself was dirty.
good value, nice place ...

The rate was good, the room was very clean, the staff was friendly - and the water pressure was even good. I'd recommend, and I'd stay again if I was in the area.

We were on our way from our NY home to our FL home for the winter so looking for clean affordable night's sleep. This fit the bill.
Good deal. Clean room.

We stayed here for a ski trip at Winterplace. The room was spacious and clean. Good enough to rest after skiing. Free breakfast was cheap. The hotel has indoor corridors. Not a motel type parking in front of doors.Note that you need to pass a toll road ($1.25 one way) to/from Winterplace ( 20 minutes ride).
