Hidden Charges

Both the the travel website and Hotel website failed to mention that while the hotel DOES accept pets, they charge 72% of the room rate for a "non-refundable pet charge". That is excessive.
I used the travel website to find a hotel that took pets. However, the policy was not explained or I would have looked for another property. On top of that, there was a broken lamp and an additonal light with no bulb. The building was room card accessable only but the card slot did not work. We were required to go to the opposite side of the building everytime we wanted to enter.
The best way to describe this hotel is as a modified dorm room. I travel to Tallahassee about 18-20 times a year. As a loyal Marriott customer, I will not be going back to this hotel again.
Also, the travel website owes it to their customers to explain the hidden charges a hotel will hit you with. This experience was a let down.
