Mixed Emotions

We stayed here with the intention of spending 3 days touring Memphis (April 2009). The front desk clerk was friendly upon check-in. We were given a handicapped room and unfortunately upon using the restroom immediately, I noticed the dead cockroach under the sink, a used washcloth hanging over the shower rod, and toenail clipping on the tile floor. The clerk was very apologetic stating they were really busy the night before and upgraded us to a suite.
You could tell the hotel was new and clean, so the unfortunate findings in the first room were dismissed. The second room still had the last guests used disposable coffee filter/tray on the coffeemaker- I could let this slide.
Upon arrival back to our room the 2nd night, we noticed that our bed was never made. No big deal. However, come the 3rd night, housekeeping never even came to our room. We were out of clean towels, trash was never changed, and once again the bed was not made up. I politely asked the clerk at the desk our last morning for another towel, as 'housekeeping never made it to our room'. He simply asked what kind of towel I needed. He never apologized for the lack of housekeeping, what room number, etc.....It's unfortunate that a new property like this will likely spiral downhill because housekeeping isn't doing their job. Its still clean. Hopefully they'll get a better housekeeper soon.
By the way, you can hear the expressway (at least on our side of the hotel-closest to the expressway). It didn't keep us awake, but you did notice it when winding down.
Great comfy place to stay.

The room was very spacious and clean. I felt very comfortable staying there and not having to worry about anything. The location is right by the exit to get onto the highway, yet you hear none of the noise from the highway, which was a major plus. It is definitely worth the price, and plan on staying there again.
