In the middle of the night we ended up removing the mattress and putting it on the floor so we didnt have to hang onto the edges all night. We didnt spend the second night as planned at the El Rey.

First time to Santa Fe, very apprehensive about accommodations. Very pleased with quality of motel. When you hear the word "motel" you think of a small dingy, dirty place, not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with the Motel. We are going back next year and will stay here!! The place was very clean and the staff was extremly friendly. Loved to sit outside in the morning and have breakfast. Santa Fe is a great place to vacation. I recommend this place to anyone who has family. We were trraveling with some friends and we had children.
This was at a great location. It was off a main road, had some difficulty getting in and out at times, but nothing like traveling the roads at home. The other places cost alot more than what we spent there, with the same accommodations.
great deal

We really enjoyed our stay here. No fruit with continental breakfast unless you count the canned peaches. We stayed in a $* room and upgraded to a $* room and we preferred the cheaper room. Staff was very helpful with special requests and sightseeing suggestions. Cerillos road is ugly but seems far away from the rooms.

JUST A NOTE. El Rey Inn DOES have a lovely, outdoor swimming pool. It's heated and large...perfect!
I loved it!
