Aqua Palm & Spa Hotel

Everything was just good on the 1st day, following day services turned to be bad, such as daily in-room coffee pack never refilled. Housekeeping service was slow and unclean. Our group have 3 guests but towels provided just for 2 or forgot changing. I used computer service at BC area and deposited my money for printing one document from my internet file but the printer didn't work, the hotel staff said he would refund my money but I waited for no response.

A nice hotel for the money

The Aqua Palms Hotel & Spa was a nice hotel in a great location. We were located directly across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village and walking distance to everything. The staff was wonderful. When we checked in we upgraded and really couldn't ask for more. In previous reviews I read about the ice machine being in the parking garage. Well, our room was on the 10th floor and right off the elevators was an ice machine. So if you want ice and don't want to go to the parking garage, just jump on the elevator or take the stairs the 10th floor. We were well prepared for the elevators running extra slow, but since we were prepared, the long waits never really materialized for us. Generally our longest wait was maybe 8 minutes. As for people being over zealous for breakfast, well I never saw that. I generally went within the first two hours and never really had to fight for food. I was able to grab what I wanted and head back up to my room. Overall a nice hotel. Oh, and if you want a fresh towel daily for the beach or the pool, just go to the front desk and they have them there. I found this part out on the last day. We purchased towels instead. If we had known, we would have used the hotels beach towels instead.

A great deal and a GREAT Location!

This is not a huge, sprawling resort. However, it is a smaller, tastefully decorated, well run, excellent service place with a great, great location...1/2 block to beach, on one end of Waikiki and yet also close to another great beach park and Hawaii's supermall....all for an incredibly economical price. We have stayed there three times and thats where we will go back.

Can't believe this was rated 3 stars?!

Well, they say you get what you pay for. We got an incredible airfare/hotel combo rate, so I can't complain about the price. But our room didn't look anything like any of the photos on the website. I spoke to others that didn't experience some of the issues we had. We had a chronic ant problem; but to the hotel's credit, they did come right up to spray when we complained. The beds were very comfortable, but we got a terrible itch from sleeping in them. Don't know if it had bugs or just the detergent they used on the sheets. (it went away as soon as we got home and showered). For that reason alone, we wouldn't go there again. The rooms and bathrooms were very small. Did have a great TV though. The hotel was connected to an IHOP restaurant, which was good because the continental breakfast was a disappointment. $20 for parking I felt was extreme since better hotels charged less. There was always a wait for the elevators. And, it was more than a block to the beach. This is important when traveling with an elderly person or small children. This was my first trip to Hawaii, and it's true when they say that you don't spend much time in your room-fortunately. The room certainly didn't ruin the vacation, but it was the only disappointing feature in an otherwise awesome trip.

Okay, wouldn't stay again

Had to take the stairs (9 flights) everyday because the elevator was being repaired. Didn't get the room I paid for the first night. Rooms were small as was the pool. Breakfast was limited, staff was extremely nice though. Spa was always booked.
