Great location, good value, no parking at hotel

The Harborside Inn is a nice hotel, esp. for the money. However, if you're renting a car at Logan (or traveling to Boston by car), you'll have to park a few blocks away at 75 State Street parking garage -- $33 for 2-24 hours with 20% discount with Harborside Inn validation. The upside: if you have some time to kill and like history, you're two blocks from the Old State House, Quincy Market and other historical attractions.

Excellent!!!! 2 blocks from Fanuiel Hall and Quicy MArket. T-station right in front of the hotel so easy to get to. We walked everywhere. Room was small but clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel in the middle of the action this is it. This is my choice for our future Boston stays!

HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION $400 LEATHER JACKET DESTROYED

The hotel was under construction which we were not told about. When we first went to our room 5 construction workers rode the elevator with us. It was a very tight fit with them and the luggage cart. When we got to our room i had grease on my hands and my wifes jacket was stained with black grease. We came in contact with the grease from the elevator, the workers, or the luggage cart. We notified the management which said not to worry we will take care of the jacket. The jacket was sent to a professional cleaner for $75 but came back the same way we sent it, ruined. We asked the hotel to refund the $75 and refund the amount we paid for the room which is less then the jacket replacement cost. They said they would pay for the cleaning only. The hotel was very noisey from the workers. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. There great description in their advertising is one huge deception.

The hotel was adequate at best, and a poor value for the price. Furnishings were early motel.

Nice Stay Despite Poor Service

Cute historic hotel in a great location! However, service was poor, due to rude front desk staff who didn't even apologize when we reported a cockroach in our room.
