Charming Hotel in Ventura

We had an amazing time in Ventura. We stayed at The Clocktower Inn and were close to just about everything. We had a charming suite with a view of the park. The room had a southwest theme and was very welcoming after a day of sight seeing. the staff was very friendly and the free breakfast and wine and cheese helped keep us on budget. We highly recomend staying here. We look forward to going back again.

My wife and I travel the world, we found this Clocktower Inn Hotel to be the best so far in both Value and locations. The room is sharming has character not just a hotel room. Very clean. they serve a good buffet breakfast and they also serve wine and cheese reception by teh fireplavce in the lobby every night. The Hotel centraly located in DownTown Ventura away from teh freeway and railroad track. I suggest this Hotel to every one.

I travel all over never seen or stayed in a Hotel that clean and personal. Staff are Great accommodating. Very clean rooms with caracter not like typical Hotel Rooms. make sure to ask for fireplace room, Located in the heart of DownTown Ventura close to the beach and all attraction. I will definately recomend it and will be back.

Walking distance from everything! Needed a scented-candle to disguise odors!

The Little Town made the stay worthwhile. You can walk to most places from the Clocktower. The Mission San BuenaVentura is just up the walkway with water fountains leading the way. There are countless little restaurants (71 Palm st. yummy French food or The Busy Bee Cafe on Main St.) and shops just a stroll away. This is a nice looking hotel with a cute patio area for relaxing and full breakfast until 10:00am (scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, coffee, tea, orange juice, cereal, the works) a nice comfortable lobby for reading a paper or magazine or just meeting up with your party. After checking in we went out for the evening and when we returned our keys did not work. We return to the desk and we're told that the clerk had made a mistake and that the only way to fix it was to lock us out of our room and make us come back to the desk (There's a phone in the room which would signal a message but i guess the night clerk didn't know this). The room (207) had a balcony, however it was not secure or private. More often than not we would come out of the bathroom to find people (men and children) standing there in the "hallway" looking straight into our room. We asked for a different room but they were booked. The room smelled, so the balcony made it feel roomier and would have aired out the place but we could not keep the curtains or the door open unless we wanted to put on a show. Our first adventure was to find some scented candles. Even though our check in was goofed and the balcony was a stage we still had an awesome time in San BuenaVentura, just off Main Street.
