For people with low standards in Waikiki

To be an actual resident in Hawaii, I expected a lot better rooms. Its in Waikiki for goodness sakes! For the standard room they could at least have provided a free continental breakfast every morning, a microwave in the room, and they should include the parking fee of 13 dollars a day with the room price! I think its ridiculous the parking fee price. I think its way too much especially since the parking lot is super small and to get a actual parking space, you would need to be back at the hotel by a certain time. Another bad thing was all the construction going on in that area, it doesn't have any views of the ocean, and I think the overal price of the room should be lower because they don't provide much of anything. I wouldn't stay there ever again.
It's very good place, especially for Chinese people

I like Holiday Inn since it's popular in China. Then I choosed it when I decided to Hawaii for vacation. Some points highlighted as bellow:
1. Staff there was very nice & kind. Whenever you had any question, they will give you a satisfied answer.
2. Room cleanning is ok. Facility is old. Just as old as 90's. But I don't care. I can get on internet, I can sleep, I can take a safe & clean shower, I have air-conditioner, that's enough for my 4 days' stay.
3. Important for me, is the Chinese Buffet just down stairs. It's $6.99 for breakfast, $14.99 for dinner. (Not sure about the lunch since I haven't had lunch there.) I know, $14.99 maybe sound expensive if you judge it in other places in United States, but you should know the background that the food in Hawaii is very expensive. The food in that buffet is not so much, but it's just ok for me since I had stayed in San Francisco for more than one month before that trip, I longed for some typical Chinese food very much!
4. Location is good. It's opposite to Hilton Waikiki. It's just 5 minutes walking to across Hilton to get to Waikiki. 15 minutes walking to market place. You can get free map from front desk if you want to make your own itinerary.
5. Tours: you can ask their front desk to get some tours information. You can also book ticket from there. But I suggest to book these from Travel website since it's cheaper. :)
