This hotel was really easy to get from the National Airport via the metrorail with a friendly staff. Very clean room and very comfortable bed. Good restaurants around.

Excellent Location & Service

My partner and I stayed here for two nights on a visit to the DC area for the cherry blossom festival. The hotel is remarkably easy to get to for a downtown location and the parking garage is immediately adjacent to the hotel so access to the car was much easier than in many locations. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, giving good recommendations for finding breakfast, informal meals, etc., in an area where it can be hard to spot anything other than lunch places only open during the week. We also observed the hotel staff leaping to assist guests with special needs and booking additional services (private cars, etc.) on request. The room was very nicely appointed, extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was extremely cramped but water pressure was very good and the linens and towels very high quality. The room featured a sectional sofa that was very comfortable. All in all, an excellent value for the money. Also a very safe area and very secure hotel. The one disadvantage would be that this is a block from K street so weeknight rates are well over twice the weekend rates, pricing long weekends well out of reach of most leisure travelers. It also can feel like it's on an island in a sea of offices. We had to take the Metro to get to anywhere we could wander around and relax. However, there are two different lines within a couple of blocks of the hotel, making this one of the most conveniently-located hotels I've stayed in and when we needed a taxi we found a constant stream of them. Ultimately, not recommended for those who have mobility issues but perfect for someone who doesn't mind walking a block or two to the Metro will love it.

Loved the location and the staff. There are lots of restaurants to walk to, but it can be noisy at the pub next door at night. The room was nice and clean. Fortunately , I called ahead and asked about the room details. Even though my online travel website itinerary clearly stated that there were 4 of us, the booking was only for a King bed. We paid an extra $20 a night to get one of their suites with 2 double beds. Well worth it.

Too early for cherry blossoms

but not too early for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Why do people in Washington D.C. celebrate St. Patrick's Day on March 7th? I didn't get it, but obviously the dozens of people celebrating in the pub below my hotel room window did. The Quincy is a great hotel. Great staff, great location, great value, great room. BUT, my room on the street side was very noisy and very warm. I recommend staying here, just not when there is anything (like a Friday or St. Patrick's Day) to celebrate.

The Quincy is a nice little hotel centrally located. Most sights and places are easily walkable (provided you do enjoy walking) and the Metro is just a block and a half away. It is very close to Georgetown as well. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the vicinity. We stayed for a longer period of time so the full kitchen in the room was convenient. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
