Hotel Closed

When we arrived in Moab, we found out that the Ramada was closed. We were sent to the Super 8 hotel. We stayed two nights. Maid service was not provided. We contacted the front desk and was informed that there would be no maid service and no adjustment to our room rate, since we had obtained our reservation thru a online travel website. We did receive towels and soap.

Not bad

When we got there, there was a sign that said the counter person would be back in a few minutes. 15 minutes later, they got there, so I had to wait another 5 minutes to get checked in due to the back-log of customers. The room was OK. It had a large table but the charis didn't fit under it. This wouldn't be too big of a deal except we had a roll-a-way bed, and the fact that we couldn't put the chairs under the table meant it took 2x the space that it would have taken if they did fit under. I booked the hotel room for 5, but they only had 3 sets of towels in the room. The kids liked the heated pool.

Better Than Expected

It's an older hotel and the rooms were a little outdated, but they were very clean. We stayed in the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. It's a good place to stay if you're on a budget.

Probably would not stay again

This was the last room available in Moab for the night -- the setup was great - 2 separate bedrooms and a room for the bathroom - with 3 kids and 2 adults this was great and private for us. The room was old and had a street door facing out - not too secure. would only stay here again if only hotel available.

Not as Advertised

First, I'm a bit upset at Travelocity for giving this hotel 3 stars. It definitely does not meet the 3-star criteria. The previous reviewers must be friends and family of the hotel management. We expected to get a better room at that rate but were we surprised. The king-size bed had stains on the box spring that made my wife and I nauseous. The carpet was at least 20 years old (this info came from the management when he told me the hotel had not been renovated since 1988). It was frayed at the edges and we made sure we walked around in socks or sandals. We were told the room had a view of the river from the back balcony. I suppose if it were Fall you might be able to spot the river through the trees on the other side of the back parking lot. We could not see it. I convinced my wife to stay the night as we were tired after traveling from Vegas where we stayed at the luxury hotel "Golden Nugget" for only $59/night! When I went to checkout in the morning, I overheard the manager giving someone a rate of $95/night. When I asked for the same rate, he said "that was between me and the lady". He was very rude and seemed to not care about customer satisfaction, at least not mine. Bottom line. We will never stay here again and will try to warn others of this miss-advertised property. I guess you cannot trust Travelocity ratings either like you used to. This should definitely be a 1 star hotel according to their own description.
