Check amenities first

Unfortunately, we checked into this hotel before clafiying what was included with our stay. One of the websites states that this hotel is all inclusive and we certainly did not receive any kind of service such as help with our luggage. The website stated continental breakfast was included, but there was not even one piece of fruit to be found in the lobby area. When I inquired about this at the front desk, I was told nothing was included. My family specifically chose this hotel because of the heated indoor pool for our elderly mother. The pool was freezing cold and when another guest and I inquired, we were given the brush off. I complained to the on-duty manager, but was told to fill out some form which stated they would come to some agreement about reducing the rate of my room. I was NEVER contacted by anyone from Holiday Inn nor was there a refund or reduction in the $109.00 room price. Beautiful hotel but incompentent management and staff. I am making another trip there this March as well, but am not planning to stay at this hotel unless they made me a real deal.

Off Rt 95, I had my choice of hotels, but chose Holiday Inn because I had a good stay at a DC Holiday Inn the past weekend; also, I'm a "Ichotelsgroup" member, and wanted to see what it would get me (i.e., discounts, freebies, whatever). Despite having no reservation (I was exhausted from driving from DC), I got an excellent room at a very good price, and my choice of any two items from their snack bar (FWIW, I got a cold OJ and a granola bar). A few nearby restaurants (one 24 hr Waffle House) and grocery store helped me get around late night munchies and breakfast.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and quiet.
The only "negative" was that when I packed up and brought my bags to my car, I had left my toiletry kit in the bathroom so that I could freshen up before checking-out. The maid thought I had left without it, so she brought it to the lost and found, and I had to retrieve it. Understandable, and even commendable, but she could have waited until she verified that I had, indeed, gone (since I had no ID in the bag, and there was no hotel tag on it, I wondered how they were going to get it to me, if at all!).
Regardless, I would stay there, again.
