Lots of Hassles

I stayed at this hotel over a busy "Graduation Weekend". The hotel did not hold my reservation properly. I was straying with family and needed double beds. They gave out my reserved room and stuck me in a single King. The compensation they gave us was a $10.00 free movie rental. I had to argue with the desk clerks to get a proper reimbursement. The clerk who was helping me was quite upset and was slamming the guest coupons on the desk while assisting me.
Due to this along with the other inconveniences (slow elevators, construction delays and a crammed lobby) I would not recommend this hotel. At close to $300 per night, there are much better choices in the Downtown Philly area.
When a hotel makes the mistake of giving away your room, they should be working to provide adequate compensation and help their guests have a proper room and experience. If there were another available room in the city this weekend, I would have taken it.
DO NOT STAY THERE

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Center City Philadelphia and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms were decent (not 3 star quality though), except for the mold in the bathroom and the poor ventilation (the a/c didn't work) in the room. The service at the hotel is horrendous!! Neither me nor my boyfriend smoke but the front desk informed us that we were being charged $250 for smoking. The woman at the front desk was extremely rude!!!! She refused to send anyone to the room to check again while we were there and did not allow us to speak with the supervisor that accused us of smoking in the non-smoking room. After much discussion, management called back to say the charge would be removed. That was a lie! I checked out, and was told my room had no charges. Three days later, the hotel charged my account the $250 and I have been trying for days now to get someone to call me back and no one, not in accounting, not in the front desk and not anyone in management will call me back! I filed a formal complaint with their corporate office. I truly believe the mold in the bathroom made us sick. If you can help it, do not stay at this hotel, save yourself the aggravation. Their management does not know how to treat their guests.
Worst Hotel I Have Ever Stayed At

I travel quite a bit for both work and pleasure. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. The accomodations are filthy and the staff is uncourteous when you bring it to their attention. I have had better service at 1* hotels. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere and avoid the worst hotel experience.

this was a horrible experience, I woke up in the middle of the night to find roaches all over my bed and room!!! This is a completely RUN DOWN 1star hotel. They need to level it and rebuilt it. Do NOT book this hotel thinking it's a 3star property. It's not, the rooms are very run down, roaches everywhere. Although X who is the hotel manager, was very courteous. Staff isn't bad but the hotel property is.

I attended for a work conference. Pillows were excellent!!!! Small bathrooms, no air conditioning on at the time. One of our trainers had her luggage stolen from a conference room.
