Refreshing

Having just come from a horrible experience at a Super 8 in Williamsburg, the Sheraton at Crystal City was a wonderful, refreshing experience. The lobby was large, bright, and clean with a complimentary fountain of fruit-laced water available as you walked in...free of charge. The front desk people went out of their way on several occasions to accommodate our needs. The halls and elevator were clean and reassuringly safe-looking. The room was exquisite with all our needs filled, including complimentary bottles of water placed near the ice bucket. I cannot express enough the comfort and class of this operation. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to DC.

Great hotel and great location

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend and found it to be clean and neat. We had a king room on the 12th floor that was new and very clean. Lobby was clean but there was some evidence of renovations going on in the lounge there. Location is close to everything and easy drive from hotel to downtown D.C. I definitely would stay there again if I traveled to D.C. Price for that weekend was $79.00 per night which was an excellent value!

My family and I stayed at the Sheraton in Crystal City. It was beautiful. The hotel was clean as well as the room. It was a nice sized room for my family and the staff was professional and corteous. We will definitely stay here again.

Hotel needs some work

There are 3 elevators and one was constantly breaking down and all 3 were extremely slow. The key cards had to be replaced 3 times during our 4 day stay. The staff went through the motions but didn't really go out of their way to try and fix the problem. The air conditioning in the room needs work. The thermostat was set on 50 and the room was still too warm to sleep with anything other than a sheet to cover yourself. The restaurant staff could be better organized for the buffet breakfast. The price for the buffet was different for each member of our group. They would bring another table's bill to ours, forget to bring coffee and tea until reminded a couple of time.

Clean and quiet and centrally located

This hotel was a nice surprise for the price. It was across the street from the Metro which was an added benefit. The check in staff was extremely helpful in calling for information on restaurant locations to the Metro. It was a quiet room. Or the people were more considerate than at the hotel in Charlotte,NC that we stayed at last month. I saw on the Sheraton website that they offer Starbucks coffee in the rooms, so looked forward to that, but alas, it was not. Small disappointment, thank goodness I brought my own. If like me you are a first timer to this area, don't use Mapquest directions to the Hotel, it was confusing and I ended up having to stop and ask how to get there. The pool is on the 16th floor, (roof) and people commented on it, but I never made it up there personally. So consider the Sheraton in Crystal City when going to this area.
