Breakfast buffet was okay, not exceptional for the price, beds are great with lots of pillows. There was a little "restocking problem" as I was there for 3 days, I had to call for more coffee cups and coffe/tea.

I had the most magnificent wedding reception at the Sheraton West Des Moines Hotel. My reception was double booked at another venue in the city and within 30 days of my date, my wedding was moved to the Sheraton. All my inviations were sent, my RSVP's were nearly completed, and all my finalizations were almost done and within a month's notice, by wedding was moved. Immediately, the Wedding Planner, from the beginning, she assured me that with their award winning culinary team, and their caring staff, she promised that she would make my wedding night a night to remember. She told me that the Sheraton Team was like family and they would do whatever it takes to make sure I was satisfied. On top of my annoying mother and my nervousness, reecption turned out to be absolutely amazing! I peeked into the ballroom before they opened the doors and it was breathtaking as I started to cry in happiness. From the servers, to the food, to the staff, to the decorations, it was the most remarkable moment and the best day of my entire life. To think I even doubted from the first visit. The Sheraton handled everything from contacting our guests, making their reservations, designing a customized website, printining updated maps and arranging hotel shuttles. I don't know how they pulled it off, but from the moment I peeked into the ballroom, I realized it was the Sheraton Family that made me smile and made my wedding a success. Thank you Sheraton! We will be returning on our anniversary!!!
Weak Service, Overcharged Credit Card

My stay coincided with the state fair, and the hotel was packed. It was a zoo-like atmosphere with children running through lobby areas and hallways late into the night. That said, my room was quiet and clean.
My biggest complaint is the service. We were not impressed with front desk staff, who chatted on phone while we waited to check in. Then, after returning home we realized that the hotel charged our credit card almost double the rate we were guaranteed online! We are still trying to reach Sheraton's accounting department to rectify this. Have left multiple messages.

We stayed at the Sheraton West Des Moines for the weekend and had a great time. The hotel is close to I-35 and easy to get to. It's about 15 minutes from the airport and the Blank Zoo. The room was comfortable and good sized. The beds were nice too. The staff was very friendly. The only downside, is that we were a little disappointed in the breakfast buffet. We would definitely recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

Even though we stayed a short time. The staff was always friendly. Our room was always clean, the housekeeping service was excellent. The hotel itself is in a very nice are with nice restaurants in the area and your fast food also, everything is close. Nice pool, nice hot tub. But most important was the friendly service we recieved and the cleanliness of the hotel. I will definetly recommend this hotel to anyone, with family, children, single, etc. And I will be staying again if Im ever in the area. Thank you.
