It's a motel, folks. A 2-star or below establishment. We went last weekend, the weekend of Oct. 20 and there must have been a crush of folks wanting to see the fall foilage in Asheville because all the places in town had raised their rates. It was definitely not worth $*** on any other night. But my wife is such a trooper that she agreed to stay there rather than spend $*** or more a night at places like Royal Crowne Plaza and we had more spending money for the weekend in Asheville.
It was loud -- but I guess my wife and I had the misfortune of being next to a room filled with young guys out having a good time. The place was fairly clean and the service at the front desk was decent. The free breakfast isn't any bargain because there is not much there to offer. But like I said, it is a MOTEL and we knew going in that we weren't staying at fine establishment. If you have more time, call and check around to see if more quality places are available because there were more hotels that we saw that weren't listed in the online travel website search for Asheville hotels. Truly, it is what it is. Nothing more, nothing less.
