I would not recommend this motel to anyone. The linen and comforter had holes in them. I requested a non-smoking room but it was smoked filled. The bath tube's paint was chipping. Everything about this motel was old. It is time for it to be rebuilt.
It was okay

Comfortable rooms, but the bathroom needs to be remodled. Not sure if all of the rooms are like that. Breakfast was very good and included in the price. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Poor. The facility is not family friendly. The amenities are few, and what little they do offer costs extra. The units are old and outdated. The appliances were broken and not working properly.

Best Things About the Resort:
Spacious unit.
Resort Experience:
This was a nice resort and an overall okay place to visit. But I was kind of really annoyed by the fact that they charge for virtually everything. They even charged for using tennis court for 3$ per person. I haven't seen any other resort charging for the use of a tennis court. There was a golf course in this resort. But it was also sort of expensive. Even with discount, playing in the afternoon, 33$ per person. And the golf course was not even that nice. We found a public golf course nearby which was much nicer and cheaper. Only 22$. They charged for renting a boat for 65$ per hour. Anyway, it was true what some other members have said about this resort that they charge you for everything and I got the impression that this resort was really trying to take every penny out of your pocket as much as they can while they can exploit this summer time. The unit itself was nice. We stayed in 2 bedrooms and there was basement and first and 2nd floor (separate floors for bedroom and livingroom). Although it felt quite spacious, it didn't feel cozy. We visited waterfalls nearby but it did not even feel like waterfalls..really small. So, overall ok, but not that impressive, especially compared to the fact that they try to charge you for everything.

Best Things About the Resort:
The units are surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees. The steep roads are a real treat.
Resort Experience:
The countryside scenery is nothing but relaxing. The rides to Ashville Blue Ridge Parkway and Black Mountain (a must visit) are relaxing. There is lots to do in the Lake Lure area. The lake is beautiful.
