Description: This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at during my vacations. It is located in the heart of downtown Ottawa, off of Rue Elgin. Everything falls within convenient walking distance from the hotel, like the City Hall, Parliament Hill, Chateau Lourier, War Memorial, shopping mall, US embassy, Rue Rideau and the Rideau Canal.
The hotel was clean and cozy. We had a 1-bedroom suite that had a bedroom with a queen size bed, a living room and a kitchen. The living room was furnished with a sofa, a table, a color TV with basic cable channels, phone, a balcony, air-conditioning and a dining table set. The kitchen had all the appliances including stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, pots and pans, silverware, microwave. We would prepare breakfast every morning. The bathroom was equipped with all the basic amenities. Only thing that I found different from other hotels was body wash and shampoo dispenser in the shower and it is good to have that. There were lots of closets, iron and board, hair dryer and more importantly lots of light. Phone service is free to make local calls.
Hotel facilities include an indoor hot water swimming pool, a full service restaurant, health club, indoor parking, sauna and many more. Parking is indoor and underground and is free for patrons.
