Not bad, but....

We spent two nights at hotel in June, 2009. The hotel honored our request for rooms on the court side and non-smoking. One of the rooms lacked adequate air conditioning, the other was fine. One room's tv remote had no batteries. Security at hotel was poor. My wife's bag was stolen from the dining room during breakfast buffet (excellent selection and quality). She left her bag on her chair and walked maybe 20 feet to the buffet table and when she returned, the bag was gone. There is only one way in and out of the room and a person had to pass by the front desk to get to the dining room. No one saw anything. No cameras were working in the room. The hotel is well situated for access to popular sites in Rome.

OK for the price

My only complaint is the size of the room. I had a triple room which consisted of a regular size room with 2 twin beds pushed together in the middle and another twin bed in front of the window. This left little room for our 6 suitcases, let alone room to move around. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent for hotel food, assorted pastries & bread, cereal, eggs, and various coffee drinks. It is in an excellent location. Just 1 block from central station, so you can get anywhere quick. If you're up for it, it's only about a 15 minute walk to the colleseum.

Wonderful hotel and staff

Would recommend this hotel to any traveler to Roma. Close to the train station, attentive staff, comfortable room and excellent restaurant. The only downside is the small breakfast with so many guests and tables it was impossible to move and enjoy the breakfast. There is an option to open an adjoining room but this was done on only one morning.

Great Location and Staff

This hotel is very convenient to the train station. And, it is just a short walk to the Colloseum. I don't think it is in the best part of town, but I didn't feel unsafe and the convenience was very welcome. The staff were friendly, and helpful. But watch out for the money exchange. We think that one of the staff members tried to cheat us on our exchange. The beds are hard as rocks. And, we saw a roach crawl across our bed. But, we only saw one, so I guess it wasn't too bad. The rooms themselves are a bit older, but ours had a very high ceiling and was very clean (other than the roach). Overall, I would recommend this to a friend. It is a pretty good value for the price.

We had a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations. Somewhat concerned about reviews regarding safety and proximity to Tirmini, nothing to worry about. We walked to Trevi Fountain the first night after a lovely dinner in the hotel dining room. Breakfasts were also great and very filling. Massimo at the front desk was amazingly helpful, we had some problems with our tickets to Florence from the agency we booked with and he went above and beyond what would be expected to help us out. I would absolutely stay in this hotel again. Perfect location for seeing all the sights in Rome.
