Stunning hotel from top to bottom. Centrally located in Plaka and walking distance to everything. The staff at the hotel is fantastic and so friendly. We felt like we made alot of new friends during our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered such a variety that it was worth getting up early. The outdoor garden is very peaceful and the Roof Garden provides fantastic views of the Acropolis day and night. We used the Roof Garden at sunset for our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. This hotel was more than we expected and well worth the price. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again if we return to Athens.

We stayed here in 2001, just before they closed for major renovations and found it perfect in every way. We stayed again in June 2007 and still liked it, but one or two things weren't as fantastic as before. The standard room was smarterand better appointed but smaller than the standard room we had earlier. On the other hand, I used the free slippers they gave us for the rest of my month's stay in Greece! The breakfast was still above average, but again not quite as varied an ample as in 2001. Our main disappointment was that the outdoor pool was no longer right at the top of the hotel and the seating area around it wasn't as spacious and well laid out. But still a great hotel, in a great location, where we'll probably stay again when we come to Athens.

Our experience at this property was awesome. We paid extra for a Superior Room and had a breathtaking view of the Acropolis. The room was small but very comfortable and better than we had expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The included buffet breakfast was excellent. Plus there is no better location in all of Athens - you right in the middle of Plaka and just a few blocks from great shopping, museums, the Agora and the Acropolis. No cab needed for anything. We highly recommend this property.
