I was looking for a nice hotel for my son and I to stay at for just one night as I was taking him to his first concert at the Tower Theater and didn't want to drive back home. This was perfect! The room was clean, comfortable and breakfast the next morning was terrific. The staff couldn't have been any friendlier. The next day we walked all around Philly since we were in the heart of everything. I would definitely stay here again!

I've stayed at this hotel many times as well as other center city hotels. The value of this hotel compared to other hotels in center city is quite good. the rooms have always been clean with a comfy bed. Like other more expensive hotels, the extras like internet access are not free, which is unfortunate. The Residence in does have free broadband access. Location is good in that it is close to most things in center city. It is a bit north of Rittenhouse square but I think you get a better value than most hotels that are closer to Rittenhouse. Staff at checkin / out is friendly. the old Shula's rest. was not so good but it has been replaced by Phillips and I've not had the chance to try it yet. But, there are MANY great places to eat within a 5 - 7 block radius. Center city is pretty safe at night and this location has always felt safe to me. Overall this is not the best hotel ever but is definitely much better than average.

The hotel was beautiful with valets watiing to help with our luggage, hot cookies in the lobby for us when we arrived, and the softest beds you can imagine with lots of pillows!! We ordered room service every morning of our stay and it was both prompt and delicious. They even call your room to make sure everything is okay and if it isn't, they fix it immediately. It was a little pricey, but worth it, being able to sit up in bed in your pj's, read the complimentary newspaper and have a cup of coffee while eating a delicious breakfast to start your day off right! Housekeeping services were impeccable and friendly, immediately attending to our requests for extra linens. Don't forget to tip your room attendant * dollars per day for all their hard work. When we came back to our room, the stuffed animals were tucked into bed, and we had the feeling they would do that for us if only we had asked! The view from our room on the 10th floor was beautiful, cabs were outside to whisk us away to our next adventure, and we were centrally located near everything we wanted to see. The staff went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and welcome, even providing extra amenities to accommodate my handicaps. We will stay there again as we are planning our next trip to see all we missed the first time.

A great hotel in a good location very near the Ben Franklin Parkway and the museums. Staff was very helpful. The rooms were very clean and even the showers had plenty of water pressure. I wuld recommend this hotel to my friends and sugguest taking the train to Philly. The King Tut exhibit was so....so.

It took the hotel 3 tries to actually get a nonsmoking room that didn't stink of smoke. This meant moving our luggage 3 times! No free internet and the $* to park were ridiculous. The upside is that the beds were the most comfortable ones that we stayed in. I would not return just based on the fact that everything was overpriced and for that fee we did not receive the appropriate service.
