Worst Hilton Hotel -***** go at your own risk

We stayed here after a long ship voyage and made the reservations based on the web site. We are members of the HHonors, but when we arrived we were cleary not business travelers and were treated as unwelcome. We asked for but received no upgrades, the room we got was across the hall from rooms under renovation, noise from 8-5. The room had broken tiles on the floor, stains on the carpet, no robes, or washcloths. The light fixtures had to be replaced while we waited to leave on afternoon, 2 hours. Everything had to be requested multiple times. The concierge staff was the worst, sent us to dine in Shepards Bush an area known for crime when they could have directed us to Notting HIll, when we left, with much luggage, they said the door to door Van would not take us with so much luggage. So they said we'd have no choice but to hire a private car for 55 pounds ($110USD) and it would hold us and all of our luggage, fortunately, we scheduled our departure way earlier than we needed, the car that came was a mini 4 seater, then they said that we would need a 2nd car for another 45 pounds ($90USD). We went outside and got a London cab and got all of us and our luggage in it, and got a refund from the hotel.. The door to door van we later discovered only charges an addl fee for each bag 2 pounds ($4USD). The Hilton is aware of this scam, and allows it to happen in their lobby...Avoid this place like the plague unless you don't mind being ripped off and poorly treated as well...Horrid Horrid place, oh and for the record, I travel all of the time...never here again...

Not worth the price

Ok, so I stayed here for two weeks, and hated having to do it. It was more expensive than it was worth. My room looked out over the roof of another building, the toilet didn't flush half the time (had to flush again and again and again), there were ladybug things on my floor, and that was just the beginning. The fridge is controlled by a sensor so you can't put anything in the fridge. Also, there was no top sheet, and this is a 4 star hotel, not a B&B. Further, I didn't get a washcloth until I had been there for 4 days. Also, the price of the room was high for what it didn't include - internet was an additional 15 pounds sterling a night and the breakfast was something like 13. Little things like this are silly in my opinion. To be honest, this hotel would have been alright had it been cheaper - but it was no where near where a 4 star hotel should be. The food was good (I had dinner in the bar and the restaurant) but a bit more expensive than outside the hotel. I would find somewhere else to stay.

Great London Hotel!

This hotel is in an excellent location -- directly across the street from the Gloucester Road tube station, which is on the District and Circle lines (most common lines for most tourist attractions). Decent dining nearby, as well as grocery store (Waitrose). Beds were great! Towels are huge. Easy walking distance to Natural History and Victoria and Albert Museums. Good value in expensive London. This will now be my hotel of choice when staying in London!

London Disappointment

This hotel is under construction and very very expensive with nothing included

Not worth the commute

This hotel was much farther away from the city than I expected. It was a 20 minute walk (or more) just to get to the tube station. The staff was not especially friendly and the rooms were tiny - even for London standards.
