Best Things Nearby:
City Walk, Emeril's, and SeaWorld were nearby.

Best Things About the Resort:
It was close to a very nice grocery store.

All rooms are very near a pool and a play area for kids.

Resort Experience:
The whole resort is a gated community with security guards. The double-keyed doors to the suite made us feel safe, which in turn helped the vacation be more relaxing. The furnishings were nice, and there was mostly everything we needed until we got to a store. The main pool was heated and in use every day we were there. We did not participate in the activities provided, but it seemed many of the families were. We really were just too busy sightseeing to check out these activities, not that they were not interesting. My main negative comment was that they had assured us there would be a crib set up in our room for our baby and that we did not need to bring a Pack ‘N Play for her. When we arrived, this was not the case, and they were unable to provide one until the next day.

Best Things Nearby:
Universal Studios and Island of Adventure parks were a must-see!

Best Things About the Resort:
The amenities and groundskeeping are spectacular!

Resort Experience:
The resort amenities boast a several nice pools and a clubhouse with poolside refreshments. The on-site, 18-hole putt-putt course is cute, but cramped. There is also a water playground that looks like kid's would love, however, we did not see anyone use it during our stay. The grounds are meticously kept. Grocery shopping is close by and the kitchen in the unit is above average.

Unfortunately, the resort's management was poor when it came to customer service and support and key maintenance issues (such as faulty fire alarm systems going off more than one night in the wee hours of the morning) made for less than a restful stay.

Although the unit appeared to be clean, the unit had a roach infestation problem.

Furniture in the unit, while attractive, is functional, but NOT comfortable. Both beds were also hard as a rock.

The resort was not what I've come to expect from a Gold Crown Resort.

Best Things Nearby:
We had several eating locations right next door to our resort, even though we were 6 miles out from the heart of Kissimmee. Having Publix next door was also a plus.

Best Things About the Resort:
We really enjoyed the size and convenience of our unit. Our two girls had a bed or their own and my wife and I had a queen bed in the master suite, along with jacuzzi and stand in shower. Eating in was a real treat for us and a great savings to having to eat out all the time. The new kids' activity pool is very nice and the girls enjoyed it very much. We also liked the large heated pool at the clubhouse.

Resort Experience:
This is a very nice resort located out from all the commercialization of Kissimmee. Even though it's further out, we only had about 20-30 minutes of drive time to get into the Disney parks’ parking lots -- not bad considering traffic. The resort is built around a large lake area and gave us many wonderful sunsets. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our first RCI exchange to Summer Bay. We will definitely add this to our list of places to stay from now on.

It is nice and peaceful at Summer Bay Resort. The lakes are beautiful, and the pools are fun. There is something to do for everyone there. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

This is the best hotel my family and I have been to in Flordia. It has 4 different types of pools plus a beach. Also, the hotel has a lot of different activities for guests to enjoy during their stay.
