Great time

Visited this place in August of 05 with my two preteen boys { they loved it and want to go back } it isbeautiful and very family oriented . I plan on doing florida again and plan on booking this resort for a week again . There is a games room and a tiki bar and pool area and a bar-b- q area and the scenic view that is soooo relaxing while having breakfast on the balcony is breathtaking . I can't wait to go back and enjoy my vacation there again .

Not Appealing

We were clearly mislead by the appealing internet photos. Upon arrival, we were give a first floor handicapped suite. My husband spent the night chasing bugs. Two windows were left open. First floor no less, definently a safety issue. Next day we were given a "better" room. Balcony was disgusting. Very dirty, cob webs, hornets nest. Very old and broken furniture. Comforter on the bed was thredbare and not clean. Carpet was another story. Needless to stay this hotel was not what it lead us to believe. We checked out early and will not recommend this hotel to ANYONE.

Avoid this place

I stayed at this place two weeks ago ( 1 bedroom Condo), I ended up checking out early and stayed at Caribe Royal after taking a 1 night non-refundable hit. Rooms are terrible and dated, cocharoches, et-al. I will never stay there again. The pool has NO ATMOSPHERE, Avoid this place like the plague trust me.

Best Things Nearby:
Walt Disney is less than 15 minutes away.

Best Things About the Resort:
I was meeting other family at the resort. We had a one- and two-bedroom. Call the resort a week in advance to ask for a room close by. When we got there, they gave us a lock-off unit. It was very nice for my party of 12.

Resort Experience:
Check-in was easy. Going into the resort, I could see a supermarket, Denny's, and other shopping on grounds. The check-in desk is in the clubhouse, where these is a pool, lake, health club, and activities center. By the center was also the playground and tennis courts. We had a three-bedroom lock-off. It was great for a large party. We were on the third room, a corner room (with was good, we had five little kids with us) that overlooked the pool area. Going to the room, there was a standard kitchen (on the counter was a bottle of their house red wine) and a living room area. The living room had a TV, radio/CD player, and VCR. The master bedroom was great, with a king-size bed and very large bathroom area. The bath had a standing shower and double whirlpool tub (which my daughter loved). This resort is very impressive, anytime on the year.

Best Things Nearby:
Lots of restaurants (Cracker Barrel was a great value for plenty of delicious food. Shops and outlets; mini golf; theme parks

Best Things About the Resort:
The units (we had an A/B lockout) were beautiful and spacious.

Resort Experience:
We were very happy with the units, although they could have had a few more kitchen items, such a bowls and knives. The location of the resort is near Disney (only 6 miles) and other theme parks. The resort is lovely, and they are continuing to expand. It is on a 68-acre lake. I would recommend this resort, although I feel they need to be more informative. We were not given much info upon check-in. The resort info in brochures, travel magazines, and online listed the resort amenities but did not state that there were fees associated with using them. This was very disappointing, considering we are a family of eight and soon to be nine. We were not prepared for the added expense, which would have added up quickly.

The resort is family-friendly (mini golf--fee; activity center; several pools and the lake--fee; yet the main pool had quite a party atmosphere with music, kareoke, and a bar (drinks in cups and bottles were allowed in the pool, along with families with babies and children). This is not necessarily the resort for families. I would consider a different resort for my family in the future.
