Could've been better.

This was my first stay with my family and it was just okay. When we arrived, we did not receive the room that we preordered AND paid for with our package. We were NOT offered an upgrade, which I think we should have since we PAID for it. We also asked for 2 beds with the package but were only put with ONE king bed with a couch. We were offered a complimentary roll in bed, but I declined and just slept on the "couch". They said they could move us to a two bed room, but not until a few days later. I did not want to unpack my things then pack it back up just to move into another room. The person at the front desk did not know how to handle the situation well at all. In the middle of the night there were these loud siren sounds, just of those "fire alarms", that rang for over an hour at a time. This went off a few times during our week stay, all at different hours of the day (9pm, 6am, AND 2am!) I was not happy with that. The construction outside of the hotel was disturbing and made hard to sleep. Other than that the location is convenient. Quick walks to all the shopping, the International Market, and The Alana Moana Shopping Center. The beach was just a short walk behind the hotel. The bell hop was very helpful and friendly. The maids of the hotel were also very nice and friendly, they kept the room very clean, very consistant on bringing new towels and taking the trash everyday. The concierge service was very helpful and also friendly, better than the clueless unapproachable front desk workers! Could have been better.

The overall trip was nice, however the hotel was not! The room was dirty at least 2 inches of dusty oon everything, floors dirty and what really made me mad was to turn down the bed and find dirty sheets. I called the front dest to be told that if they cleaned the room or changed the sheets there would be a $35.00 charge to me. Needles to say I will not stay there again.

Better than expected!

Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Area much more quieter than where we stayed last year (couple blocks from Waikiki Beach). Bus and trolly stop conveniently located at corner near hotel. Highly recommend this hotel. Room very comfortable. View from balcony on lagoon side great!

I have stayed at the Ilikai and have enjoyed each experience. However, it could be going into forclosure as early as Feb. 3. Watch out for a guaranteed prepaid booking.

This is a very nice hotel. I like the price that was offered and the service was excellent. I hope to keep going to this hotel as long as the pricing stays the same or gets better. This is a excellent hotel for business travel and i will use for my family stay as well.
