Sheraton's Desert Oasis

Best Things Nearby:
Shopping Centers, TPC of Scottsdale, Troon North GC, Super Wal-Mart. Easy freeway access to 101.

Best Things About the Resort:
Great location and great staff! The walkways have informative signs as to the types of cacti and plants.

Resort Experience:
The units were quiet and well maintained. (I think the dining unit could have been scaled down, because it was too much furniture in the living/dining area.) What a treat to have (2) gas fireplaces in the unit! The bedroom had a jacuzzi bath with a waterfall in the corner - great after playing the rounds of golf. If you have children, the pool and play areas seem to keep them occupied.

Best Things Nearby:
The Lamborghini/Porsche dealerships were nice to visit.

Best Things About the Resort:
It had a very nice layout, with a pool with a waterfall and a Sunday evening pool party.

Resort Experience:
It has three-story apartments, with a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom, a full kitchen, and dining and living areas. There is a very nice outdoor pool with a waterfall. There is no restaurant, but there are many nice ones nearby.

The Sheraton's Desert Oasis

The Sheraton's Desert Oasis resort describes itself as a setting of unparalleled splendor and it lived up to its claim. We had a one bedroom unit which sleeps 4, and it had a full kitchen. The unit was a reasonable size, but it would have been tight if the four adults on our trip had intended to stay indoors for lengthy periods of time. The room was cheerfully decorated in a South Western theme, and we were fortunate enough to have a ground floor unit steps away from the pool, spa, and gym (allowing us to swim or workout before most people were up and around!)

The waterfall in the pool is a calming touch and did wonders for our sore shoulders after long days of golfing. The facilities also have BBQs scattered throughout the premises which we took advantage of when we wanted to eat in.

Many people have recommended the local Walmart which is a full serve grocery store - my only suggestion is to get directions before you leave as most buildings in Scottsdale are the same terracotta colour.

It is a long day trip to the Grand Canyon but well worth the drive.

Best Things About the Resort:

Resort Experience:
The unit was small and dark, and I don't think it was worth trading a 2 bedroom unit for. Not suitable for 4, that's for sure. No stove or kettle was available and only 3 chairs at the dining table....

Lots of restaurants close by and super shopping.

August may not be the best time for Arizona but we did enjoy our time there.

Kierland Plaza, Rawhide Steakhouse and Fairgrounds, Phoenix101- shopping mall and movie Theatre.

Best Things About the Resort:
Endless daily activities, and shopping trips to the area malls with other guests was a great way to interact... even when you probably didn't want to.

Resort Experience:
The best thing is that it didn't feel like you were in an unfamiliar place at all! The atmosphere of the rooms was so inviting that it was easy to get settled in pretty quickly.

The whirlpool in the main bedroom was the real highlight. To go straight from your bed to the bubblies was awesome. Even the standard smaller room’s bath had built-in jets. We had a two-bedroom unit where two rooms were adjoined by the pass-through door; so not only was having a full kitchen cool enough, but having a kitchenette as well made things even better.
