Good for a layover night

We were looking for an inexpensive place to hang our hats one night before we left the country the next morning. The motel does show wear, but the rooms were clean and the staft was friendly. The neighborhood isn't the best but several restaurants & fast food chains are within walking distances (1-2 blocks). We never felt unsafe. All-in-all we got what we paid for. Not bad for a nights stay or for couples, singles or students wanting to save a buck. If you plan on visiting LA for an extended period of time or want something closer to Hollywood, this is not the hotel for you.

"The cleaning ladies knock too early in the morning. The manager at the front desk was polite and friendly. The hotel staff need to smile more. The pool is way to small. The hotel is not in the very best neighborhood, a few homeless people come out at night. But otherwise it's a clean, comfortable and a quiet place to relax."

The location is adequate, but the rooms are absolutely filthy! I wore my shoes the entire time I was in the room, as I was afraid to walk on the carpet. We would have loved to switch hotels, but there were none available in the vicinity... The only good thing about this facility was the soda machine -- ice cold!
