Clean but no frills hotel

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for a business trip. When I got there, my reservations were quickly and accurately confirmed and I was given keys to my room. This is an older hotel and some parts are showing their age. It is built in an "L" configuration with one open side facing the back wall of a mini-storage and the other facing the freeway. Parking and the pool are between the buildings. Landscaping was minimal. My room was on the second floor at the back of the hotel. When I opened the room I found it clean, with the exception of a few leaves that had blown in under the door (there was no weatherstripping). The room smelled clean and was well stocked with towels and other standard supplies. While I was there, housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room nice. The bed was a little on the stiff side but fairly comfortable. Dispite its proximity to the freeway, noise was minimal. I was awakened once in the night by someone walking very heavily by my room. It actually made the bed shake! Breakfast was a little sub-par compaird to other similar hotels where I have stayed with less selection and lower quality foods. The breakfast room was comically small. There were 3 tables with 4 chairs each, but with people at two of the tables, the third table was not accessable. The bottom line is that this is an adequate, clean place to spend the night. I might consider staying there again for business, but my wife and daughters would kill me if I took them there for a vacation.

Decent

The place was only decent. The room we received smelled & the maid sprayed an excessive amount of room deordorizer to cover it. We had a non-smoking room that smelled of smoke & had ash trays directly outside of the door where several people hung out & smoke. The door to the room had a 2 inch gap under it which allowed all the smoke to come right in. The continental breakfast was excellent though.

This hotel is great for going to the new nest of the Cardinals. The stadium was really easy to get to from this hotel. The rooms are clean and big. The breakfast was way better than I usually see at "Free Continental Breakfasts" - there was a waffle maker and sausage. Plus the staff was really helpful and friendly. It looks like they are renovating the grounds too - the pool deck looked newly surfaced and my family had a great time swimming. We're going to stay here for games from now on.

We enjoyed our trip however, the motel room had a broken dial on the air conditioner so it would only go on high. We did not get cups, disposible items replenished the 2nd day.
