Clean but no frills hotel

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for a business trip. When I got there, my reservations were quickly and accurately confirmed and I was given keys to my room. This is an older hotel and some parts are showing their age. It is built in an "L" configuration with one open side facing the back wall of a mini-storage and the other facing the freeway. Parking and the pool are between the buildings. Landscaping was minimal. My room was on the second floor at the back of the hotel. When I opened the room I found it clean, with the exception of a few leaves that had blown in under the door (there was no weatherstripping). The room smelled clean and was well stocked with towels and other standard supplies. While I was there, housekeeping did a good job of keeping the room nice.
The bed was a little on the stiff side but fairly comfortable. Dispite its proximity to the freeway, noise was minimal. I was awakened once in the night by someone walking very heavily by my room. It actually made the bed shake!
Breakfast was a little sub-par compaird to other similar hotels where I have stayed with less selection and lower quality foods. The breakfast room was comically small. There were 3 tables with 4 chairs each, but with people at two of the tables, the third table was not accessable.
The bottom line is that this is an adequate, clean place to spend the night. I might consider staying there again for business, but my wife and daughters would kill me if I took them there for a vacation.
