From the moment you enter the lobby, the gilded ceilings and plush couches of the lobby set a romantic and relaxing scene. The polished floors and dark woods set the scene for the beauty of the upstairs guest rooms. At night, the lobby was lit by candlelight, creating a very romantic mood for our weekend getaway.

While the guest rooms are somewhat small, the bathrooms are sleek and modern, and the toiletries provided are of the highest quality. The king bed featured feather pillows, a plush down comforter, and a feather-topped mattress, which made for a very relaxing weekend.

The hotel was able to easily assist us with restaurant reservations and directions to the stores we sought.

Overall, if you're looking for a place for a romantic and soothing getaway, this is a great hotel.

HOWEVER, upon our return home, my wife and I found that the W had charged our credit card for a very high amount of "extras" which we did not authorize. It took some time and to get the management of the hotel to respond to our phone calls and inquiries. Eventually, the problem was corrected, and the charges were removed.

The amount of frustration we experienced upon our return home in dealing with this problem did much to eliminate the fond memories of the hotel.
