Was clean and well kept. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Best Disney Character breakfast anywhere!!! My kids loved the glass elevator.
Overpriced but wonderful to stay in the resort

It is wonderful to stay in the Disneyland resort and be close to the parks and downtown Disney, but this hotel is so overpriced. It didn't help that our final bill showed an added $13.80 per day--when we called to find out what this daily charge was, we were told it was for their additional services: the "free" Internet access, morning newspaper that we didn't read and came on only one of the three mornings of our stay, and the gym (which we didn't use at all). Was the front desk friendly? Not the person we encountered, who seemed bothered by my wishing to check in. For cleanliness, the table was sticky as was the hair dryer--not too nice to the touch. And no shampoo or lotion our first night! With all that, our family had a great vacation during the Thanksgiving holiday. But would we stay here again? Probably not.

This was my family's first time staying at one of the Disney hotels. The Disney Paradise Pier was extremely clean and very comfortable and convient for our trip to Disneyland. I got a great deal on the hotel room, which made it all the better and my kids really enjoyed themselves! Not to mention that staff was great as well as the service:) However, if I'm being completely honest I have to say that I probably would not pay the asking price per night that was originally offered on this room, and that price ran as high as $/night. If you are going to pay that type of money splurge and stay at the Disney Grand California Resort and Spa(beautiful), but pricey too, however it has the quick access to the Disney California theme park and it's the newest of the hotels. All the hotels were very nice and had Disney's touch, but nothing totally blew me away, but my kids had a really good time!
WOULD STAY AGAIN!

The Paradise Pier was nice---I woldn't say GREAT, but nice. We stayed on the 9th floor and had a good view of DCA (although half of the view consisted of construction on the Grand Californian). The rooms were fairly small for the price paid, but the fridge and safe were a feature that we couldn't do without and it was COZY, so I'm not complaining about that. One thing that you need to keep in mind (and MANY MANY people warned us about this)... prices on EVERYTHING are SKY HIGH. Pop from the vending machine was $2.75...a small bear claw pastry was $4.00---MONEY GOES FAST! In fact, you really can't escape it anywhere on the Disney Property whether it be the hotels, restaurants, park, Downtown Disney...EVERYTHING is overpriced...severely! We flew in and didn't have a car. My husband decided to try to find a market or just anyplace to buy some muchies & lunch or breakfast fixings that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg so he set out on foot. He returned about an hour later with a bag from a 7-Eleven, which had taken him 30 min. to get to. Ha Ha In other words, not much w/in walking distance! Take some stuff with you, if you can.
Now to the Disney Parks. We were there in what I though would be OFF SEASON. O.K., I would hate to see what it's like in the summer! It was absolutely CRAZY busy. Lines were long...wall to wall people EVERYWHERE. My advice...check to see what conventions will be going on at the time of your stay. Also, Miley Cirrus (sp.) was having her b-day party there the day after we left..so lot's probably there for that! Let's just say we weren't the smiley faces in the brochures! :)
Uncomfortable Beds

We were pleased with the front desk customer service. Everyone was very friendly. We liked the parking structure and the price of parking. What we were disappointed with, the beds and pillows. They need to be upgraded very badly. We spent too much money on our room to receive such an uncomfortable night's sleep. I will not stay at this Disney Hotel again.
