Great, not amazing

The rooms were beautifully decorated and had the promised views, but anyone expecting high luxury would be disappointed. A good outing is renting boats down on their marina, which is fairly cheap (especially for kayaking), and the gift shop has some nice items. However, the room heater was very loud and the dining experiences were great, but not any better than many restaurants just above the Chili's/Applebee's level. At this level, you'd expect amenities like parking would be included in the price, and they weren't--but, conversely, the concierge service was very helpful. Not the best experience ever, but not the worst, either.

Beware! The pictures in the photo section are VERY misleading. At the Dana there is a new section and an old section and the majority of rooms are located in the old section. The old section isn't captured in the aerial photo. The room was decent but its not worth the money.

Room was small, but accomodating.
Bed was nice, but a King sized bed would have been much better (queen was standard)
Location to Sea World...any closer and you'd be in the park!
Great view to marina and Mission Bay!

This is the second time I have stayed at The Dana. Staff is great. Location is right on the bay and close to attractions and the ocean. Two pools; families tend to go to the main pool which leaves the tropical pool for relaxation and drinks poolside.

We felt safe and well cared for the entire time we stayed at the Dana. The location is conveniently located to everything we wanted to do and see including San Diego Zoo, Coronado Beach, Seaport Village, Midway, Sea World, La Jolla Kayak Tours. The concierge and other hotel staff was extremely helpful and the restaurants were great. We had a fabulous time and highly recommend The Dana to any family looking for a nice place to stay close to all of the main San Diego attractions.
