This was our first visit to Portland and we enjoyed the area very much. I highly recommend this hotel. Excellent service, friendly staff, buffet breakfast was great. Room was very clean and comfortable. Fresh towels and accessories everyday. I have never stayed in a friendlier hotel. Great location. Outdoor pool was closed for the season - looked small but nice. It was obvious that mgmt paid close attention to details, well trained staff, and customer service.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn in Portland and each time has been a very good experience. The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is perfect for us and convenient to FREE public transportation. We just park the car and use public transport. They have a great breakfast buffet that is included in the price of the room and plenty of laundry facilities. It's like home away from home.
The rooms are very large and well appointed. You never feel cramped or cluttered. There is plenty of storage and the pretty kitchen has everything you need. The king size bed is one of the more comfortable hotel beds I have slept on. We will continue to use the Residence Inn at Portland Lloyd Center for future trips to Portland.
Marriott made it right

I got a competitive price for a "1 bedroom suite". The room turned out to be a studio with the bed, couch and kitchen all in the same room. I don't know how it got screwed up, but Marriott made it right by giving me an upgrade to a real suite. I'm happy, but next time I'll follow up my reservation with a call to the hotel to find out what I REALLY got.

Great breakfast buffet - snacks during the week. Handy to the light rail. Nice to have a kitchen.
