Dirty smelly room

My husband and myself only stayed the one night. We asked for a smoking room because my husband has a cig once in a while. When we checked in we found no parking close to our room. When we got inside the hotel we found all the smoking rooms were on the ground floor and the hallway once you got into the hotel smelt so bad it made me feel sick. The room was even worst. No real ventalation. It smelt so bad that I could not get the smell out of my clothes, even the ones not unpacked. Very loud in the rooms, everytime the people around us used the water the noise was so loud in our room it woke us up at 3am. My husband took a shower the next morning and then I did. The water was already cold by the time I got into it. I would never stay here again. I thought it was very unclean. The beds were the only thing I found to be clean and comfortable. The rooms are really old maybe from the 70's that they have tried to remodel but not done such a great job... Also I noticed that they charged my visa card more than the bill came to.. I have to call them about this.. Stay away.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping needs to knock before entering rooms. I will not give a bad review on one person lack of respect. Hotels front desk staff was friendly. I would stay again.

They double-charged me and won't return my calls!

I booked and paid for my room through the ttavel website, but the Holiday Inn - Bordeaux also charged my credit card for the same night! The hotel customer services manager has not returned my phone calls, and every time the travel agency agents call the hotel, they are also told the manager is not there. This hotel will rip you off if you give them the chance. I absolutely would not stay there again. It is obvious the fault lies with the hotel as I also stayed at another hotel in the same city, in the same week, booked through the travel website, and was only charged once, correctly. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Overall hotel apprearance was very poor based on cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. Our original reservation was for a king non-smoking. The room they offered us was smelly and right behind the evelator and...someone else had occupied it befor use leaving their computer bag in it. Rooms weren't cleaned dialy and the key cards kept expiring. WOuld not recommend or stay there ever again. I would recommend closing the hotel entirely.

DON'T STAY HERE

This hotel is just awful. Our bathroom ceiling leaked constantly if the A/C was on, the leaks had stained the tub rust, we had roaches, the toilet ran constantly if you didn't jiggle the handle several times after flushing. The U shape of the hotel made it difficult to get to our room from the lobby (we had to drive around and repark in a different area), the 'security door' was all beat and battered, locks had been changed/removed, which leaft large openings in the door itself. Our balcony was dirty with cigarettes (even though we had a non-smoking room). It appeared there were permanent residents at this hotel (other than the roaches), because non-hotel furniture was on the balconies. It was just really gross and creepy. I think the other Holiday Inn (Express - near Cross Creek Mall) would be a MUCH better option if you are a fan of this chain. Really, stay elsewhere.
