You get what you pay for...

I have mixed feelings about this motel. The positives are that the location is prime for young children walking into Disneyland - it's less than 2 blocks from the main entrance. There is a lot of affordable dining nearby and is within walking distance of a great shopping/dining center called Anaheim Gardenwalk. The swimming pool is huge. It's easy to see the nightly fireworks at Disney from the property. They did have laundry facilities, a game room, and a gift shop with soda, water, other toiletries, etc. But... I'd asked for a room with a balcony and a microwave/fridge. Apparently you can't have both, so we ended up with a room without a balcony. The desk staff was not extremely friendly but they were accommodating. The room was old and COLD. We never did seem to get the temperature just right. The bathroom/vanity area was large, but not as clean as I would like to see. Someone who was losing lots of dark hair either works in housekeeping or stayed in the room before we did... not so nice. As for internet... yes they do have it, but it's * per day and it was not easy to get a connection. Overall, for * nightly, this was not a bad place to stay. I think next time though I'll stay elsewhere, spend a bit more and complain a bit less. :)

Great for the price

Pros & Cons

We went to Disneyland with several family members - a total of six people. I chose to stay in a "suite" which is nothing more than two connecting rooms. The minute we walked into the room they smelled moldy and musky we had to crank the air conditioner and open up both windows to get some fresh air inside, it took about an hour to clear the smell out of both rooms. This hotel is marketed as being the hotel closest to the entrance to Disneyland, that's true if you plan on driving into the parking lot of Disneyland, not true if you plan on walking. I'd say that the Best Western Park Place wins the award for the hotel across the street from the main entrance. They have full washers and dryers, costing $2 to use for each, so bring your own laundry detergent and fabric softener. The "business center" is nothing more than two tables with two computers, a printer and a fax machine - and the services are way too over priced. I was online for 2 minutes and was charged $4.95. ALSO!! Very important, when I checked in, the cost of the room went up $10 more a night then what I reserved it at so bring a copy of your reservation confirmation - I had mine with me and the guy who checked me in honored the original price per night that I had confirmed it at. The hotel was just okay, I would probably choose not to stay there again in the future.

My family and I loved the stay at this hotel. Its very close to Disneyland, and thats why we chose this location. Its an older hotel, but its clean and everything in the room worked fine. We got up in the morning and ate breakfast at the hotel grill, it was priced well and my entire family filled up on the buffett. When we got back to the room, houskeeping already had cleaned our rooms! We were nicely suprised!

Room Smelled Horrible!!!!!

Location and Pool was great. Pool did run out of towels both day we were at the pool. My complaint was that the room smelled horrible! I was expecting an old hotel and that would have been fine. But it smelled horrible like mildew and mold. We tried to air it out and we used 3/4 of a bottle of fabreez but the smell would not go away. I thought it was just our room but I went to a buddies room that was staying there and his room stunk also. I can stay in some cheap and old hotels with no problem as long as they are clean and don't stink. I will not stay here again.
