amazing hotel

The hotel was amazing! we could see the Santa Monica Pier from our room and service was great!

Perfect location. Beach views and Santa Monicapier. 4 newspapers available daily--free. Lobby and bar area delightful. Sun room overlooks beach and ocean. Pricey parking--$30+ daily.
Did not meet expectations

Hotel staff was friendly, but not very knowledgeable of area- the front desk nor concierge could tell me where the nearest pharmacy/ drug store was located. Bathrooms were very outdated and the rooms are not soundproofed at all. I could here people showering in the abutting rooms. While the lobby environment was nice and the staff was friendly, it just did not meet my expectations for the name and price.

This is a wonderful hotel with a picture-postcard view of the beach and ocean. The guest rooms are luxurious and very comfortable - we felt pampered! Front desk, health club, valet, bellman and concierge service were first-rate. Restaurants serve good food but service was unbearably slow. We would visit again in a heartbeat!
Staying in the middle of a convention

The Hotel booked me in a room on a floor with a business event and all other guests on that floor were part of that event and it was a bit of a carnival atmosphere on the floor - loud. Hotel comped me 1 night.
