Our group of 8 flew over to see the Husky game & Hawaii. The room was smelly, small and very very poor quality. I won't go into that. The elevators kept breaking down, so we used the stairs alot not to get stuck in one, they offered us a complimentary breakfast next door to make up for the difficulty. Fruit and cereal. Main highway all around, very noisy. Lost a lot of sleep. Our view, oh yes! Neighboring apartments! Not pretty at all. Never expected anything like this. Luckily we hibernated at the OutBack, ABC store and a nicer hotel near by to keep our sanity. Won't go back to Waikiki or Aqua Marine Resort.

would stay again

Stayed 2 days before boarding a cruise ship. location was good, walked to waikiki beach . Room was nice, good ocean view. desk clerks were helpful. close to restaurants and the Ala Moana Center. Would stay here again.

It was our first stay in Oahu and wanted something comfortable and affordable. We knew we won't spend much time indoors. So this hotel turned out to be the perfect choice. We had a renovated room on the higher floors, thus no problems with broken fittings. Cleanliness was v good (the lady did not even take the tips). The reception staff's rudeness did not put us off too much. Coming from Australia, where customer service is fantastic, we expect poor and rude service anywhere we go in USA. (Nevertheless, there were few places which surprised us pleasantly- Aqua Marina reception staff wasn't one of them). Location is perfect to shops (coffee shops, food court, shopping centre) & beach. When we needed to go to the main strip, we took the car and park it by the zoo. Our next vacation in USA is coming up in mid May '08. Looking forward to stay there again. I recommend this hotel for people who would stay outdoors a lot, just make sure you ask for a renovated condo on the upper floors. For value for money, you won't be disappointed.

Do Not Stay Here!

We stayed here for only 1 night (thank god) and was the ultimate worst hotel experience ever! Once inside the room I go to turn on the light and the light fixture fell off the wall...oh it gets worse! Above one of the beds was dirty hand prints!!!!! The beds didn't have fitted sheets just flat sheet tucked in, there were bugs on the "kitchenette". We actually went to the airport a couple hours after checking in because we felt unsafe and traumatized!!!

SMELLY -UGLY ROOMS- MAYBE IT WAS JUST OUR ROOM?

i HAD TO GO TO OAHU ON A FAMILY EMERGENCY, MY DAD WAS HAVING SURGERY- MY HUSBAND FOUND THIS PLACE ONLINE AND BOOKED IT FOR ME AND MY MOM. (HE WILL NOT BE MAKING ANY OF OUR RESERVATIONS FOR ANY FUTURE STAYS ANYWHERE) IT WAS JUST REALLY BAD. OUR WINDOW OPENED UP MAYBE 6 INCHES, A/C WINDOW UNIT WAS VERY LOUD, UNCOMFORTABLE BED (EVEN THOUGH WE HAD BEEN UP FOR 2 DAYS, IT WAS HARD TO SLEEP) BATHROOMS ARE SOOOO SMALL, (LUCKY WE ARE TOO) WE CHECKED OUT THE FOLLOWING DAY AND FOUND SOMETHING MORE ACCEPTABLE. AND LET ME STATE, I AM NOT A HOTEL SNOB. I LIKE COMFORT, AND A LITTLE STYLE.
