Beautiful

Stayed their last February and I am planning another trip out there this year and am looking to stay at same Villa. Right on Beach. About an hour from the airport if you know your way around Puerto Rico. The views are phenomenal. Housekeeping was great.

Perfect for a quick getaway!

This was the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway. It only took us 45 minutes to drive there from San Juan, on a Saturday morning. The check in was easy and fast, and the whole Palmas resort was beautiful! We had a studio apartment in the villa that had a kitchen and a king bed, and was right on the beach. The weather was windy, so the beach was a bit dangerous, especially with our six-month-old, but we lounged by the pool to enjoy the sunshine and sat on our little porch. We ate dinner down by the Marina, and fixed our own lunches both days. My husband played golf and I got a facial at the clubhouse, and they let us check out a bit late to take full advantage of our second day. If you are a huge beach person, or you want to go site seeing, this is not the place for you. If you just want to get away, relax, and have no set agenda, then it is perfect! We are looking forward to going back!

Not a Hotel

This place is a huge gated community where residents live. We stayed at someone's studio. There is no room service, nothing is nearby, the restaurants do not serve spanish food and the beach sign said: "dangerous - swimming not recommended". We thought it was lovely for people who live there but not vacationers.

Think twice about staying here

If you're looking for action-do not go here! This location is beautiful but there is nothing to do besides the beach. Villas are not near the beach and it's almost impossible to get to the beach because all the property next to the beach is private with no public access. We had to sneak through the Sheraton. Maid service is pretty nonexistent. Rental office difficult to find (it's in the Palmnova plaza) and if you go-rent a golf cart in advance-you'll need it. Pool is no bigger than a backyard pool. Villa itself was nice and large but not well stocked, no dish soap etc.

Great for Sr vacation but 2+ hr to airport !!

This Villas area was beautiful, however, other than day-light sight seeing, ocean swimming, horseback riding, golf...the place had no night life except for a small, quiet casino and the WORST restaurant in the complex: out of control a/c, ignored complaints, uncaring slow serving staff and expensive, tasteless food. The agency advertise a 45 minute drive to the airport...it's 2 + hours over the worst roads. Great for older couples looking for sleepy time, the only thing we hated to leave behind when we left was the sunshine.
