the hotel would nt take responsibility for their mistake on reservation made online thru partnership with aa.com hotel reservation..3 adults slept in a 1 queen bed room because the hotel claims did nt receive the change made thru online website changing to 2 queensize beds and would nt honor anything..both agents talk back and forth but we, the consumer received any resolution for this matter. would not recommend this hotel or chain to anyone

First time Vacation in NY

Room and bathroom as expected; small but acceptable. We put clothes in drawers or on hangers and piled suit cases out of way. Reasonably clean. Bathroom fan and A/C worked. Breakfast as included was similar to my normal breakfast so no complaints. Was fresh and kept topped up. Roof top bar on 14th floor overlooking Empire State Building was pleasant before dinner, given that temperature was in the 80s on the weekend. Only hassle was that one of the 2 elevators was out of service for most of the week. This made vertical travel congested and occasionally slow. Location was convenient and we walked to a lot of spots including the theatres (twice), Central Park and Museums although this was a lot of walking. Subway is convenient. Hotels are expensive in NY but La Quinta met our expectations.

Handicap nightmare

The room was so small that once I drove my scooter into the room, there was no way to get to the bathroom without crawling over the scooter., There was a beautiful 36" door that you couldn't get to because there wasn't enough room between bed, door and wall to maneuver the scooter, let alone a wheelchair into the bathroom. You had to climb over the scooter, onto the bed to get to the bathroom. The bathroom was in desperate need of a good cleaning. We had to get extra coffee, the next day housekeeping took the extra.

Small but fine for the price

This is a nice hotel located in a vibrant Korean district. Its lobby is pleasant and customer service excellent. Valet parking was good and efficient - $30 a night, or $26 a night if you park your car yourself. The room I stayed in was small and fairly plainly appointed, but clean and perfectly adequate. Soundproofing was a bit of an issue, but not terribly so. The breakfast room was a little chaotic with a big crowd on Saturday morning and the offerings pretty much standard issue. In summary, this is a decent budget hotel in a good location.

Never Again!

"This hotel had a haunted feeling, old, stale smelling. I was charged full amount during reservation and charged again during check out. I did not know until I got my credit card statement. This took over a month to dispute, the manager did not take any responsibility and sent me on a wild goose chase as well as reserations. NOT IMPRESSED!"
