Noisey but nice

Hotel was very convenient to public transportation. Art Institute was within a block. There was a lot of construction going on around the hotel and the main entrance was not open. The lobby is breath taking. The hotel is old and is not quiet. We could hear a lot of noise from the rooms around our room. Be prepared to pay for use of the gym, pool, buisness center and no free breakfast. Potters bar in the hotel was very nice and great for after a show. If you don't mind the dust and noise, this is a good place to stay.

It was a weekend getaway with 4 girlfriends sharing a room at this beautiful hotel! The hotel wasgorgeous, centrally located, awesome conceirge and close to everything. We bought the Chicago 2 day card for * dollars and traveled from the airport to one block from our hotel. The hotel was one block from Millenium Park and Grant Park. We walked to Michigan Avenue. We were fortunate to stay on the executive floor and had the pleasure of having two bathrooms!! What a treat for 4 girls! Our room was oversized with a loveseat and over stuffed chair. The bathroom was completely updated with two headed showers! We would highly recommend this hotel!

Not what I had hoped for.

Rude front desk. No coffee pot. Pool wasnt open even though travel agency website said it would be done by our stay. Small room unlike the photo. Had to pay for 3rd person, but only set up for 2 (cups and such) guard did not stop us after midnight to check who was coming in, to clarify the security question. No fan in the bathroom so it is really loud and steamed up and hot. Lobby is beautiful. That was the best part. Paid way too much for the actual room. Was sadly disappointed. Also booked the room then found the price had changed/lowered and could not adjust without cancelling, was afraid we'd lose the room. Come to Chicago a lot. Will not come back to this hotel.

Hotel was nice. Lots of construction going on around it. Very friendly people. Room was a little small for 4 people but still nice. Some extra ammenities were not included such as coffee maker and frig. Taxis were very easy to get. Excellent location in the city. It's very close to lots of attractions such as Millenium Park, Michigan Ave, Aquariuim, and Navy Pier. Most you can either walk to take a short cab ride. Parking was in a pretty safe and lighted parking ramp. Price for it was a little high at * but you can't get anything cheaper downtown.
