My favorite hotel in Chicago

I love the Palmer House. I have stayed in it hundreds of times and each time I walk in and feel at home. The lobby is amazing, walking up those stairs and looking up you see that gorgeous ceiling. The king rooms on the Executive floor are wonderful. Now that I no longer live in Chicago my sister and I travel up there for long shopping weekends and share a double room with two bathrooms. Perfect. We each get our own bathroom, our own closet, and the room is huge. I have taken many guests to the Palmer House; when friends come in for the weekend I put them there. The only thing I miss is that amazing champagne brunch they used to have on Sundays. The concierge is the best in Chicago.

The Hotel could not have been better. Our room was the best room in the entire facility - in our opinion. We had windows on 3 sides with a great view of Lake Michigan as well as som eof Chicago's skyline. Within walking distance of so much with easy travel to many other attractions. Check-in and -out was smooth and easy. The Concierge staff was extremely helpful with restautrants, local transportation and events happening that weekend. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Chicago!!

We had a room on the 10 floor. The room was small compared to the other hotel we stayed in during the week of our vacation the week of april 6th. The room was recently remodeled and well decorated with large and fancy looking furniture and ammenities. The water got hot when we wanted it to. the toilet needed adjustment but worked. The tv and cable was outdated but was free. The 15$ internet charge seemed excessive. our cell phones did not work in our room. The only real negative thing was the noise level from other rooms above. It seems like they skimped on the ceiling insulation for the remodel. The drinks were expensive and all strait yummy booze. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We explored the hotel and loved the grand ballrooms and decor. We were warmly welcome like royalty everytime we entered the main doors. Yes, We would stay there again. we had a great rate for the three days we were there

The Hotel was fine. Only criticism was a $25 fee to check in before 1pm.

Great choice for the price

Quite a nice hotel considering we paid under * a night. The only complaints we had was that there was no coffeee maker in the room ( they charge and arm and a leg to send a pot up via room service) and a corner of the wall paper was peeling off. The bar was great and the hotel was in walking distant to a lot of attractions. I would stay here again.
