Terrible place staffed by awful people.

Unfortunately there is no abuse of the handicapped box to check in these reviews. Or how about harassment by security persons? All this and more can be yours at the Sea Bay Hotel! While the rooms and amenities were about what you would expect from a low end hotel in Ocean City, our encounter with the managerial staff left us considering a call to a lawyer. A dispute over a service animal's papers resulted in us being kicked out at 11:30pm with no refund. Ten minutes later we ended up at a much nicer place with staff who weren't actually trolls. The Sea Bay does not deserve your business. Please do not encourage this kind of behavior by staying here.
Don't stay here if you want to party

They will kick you out if you make any noise after midnight and won't refund any money. They also called the cops on some friends who smoked a joint on the balcony.
Sea Bay Hotel - good value for the money

We had a 2 Night Stay in July 2008 in Building B/Bay front. I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised by the motel. Good location to the beach, good value for the dollar.

Although the location was great---the quality of the room was very poor. Sheets had hair on them, the bathroom was small and smelled like BO---tile was not clean, hair stuck to various places on the tile. When using the shower the tub filled with water and took forever to drain, limiting shower times. Carpets were dirty, I asked housekeeping to run the vac when we first arrived, She entered the room and picked up with vac only things she saw on carpet, did not vac entire room. Spiderwebs in corners---looked as if no spring cleaning had been done to ready the room for this season. Wallpaper pealing, killed several bugs. No screen on the patio door, so when open--- room filled with flies quickly to add to the bug collection process. While not anticipating the Ritz---was looking for a clean room. We did get the request of water view---we were pool side, no waterview rooms were left. We did not leave a tip for the housekeeper. Lobby and pool areas were nice and clean.

Just returned from a 3 night "Girls Weekend Away" stay at the the bayfront building of the Sea Bay Motel. The room was clean & comfortable. Great value for the money. Beautiful bayfront view from the private balcony. Had two minor maintenance issues on check-in the the maintenance men were there within 5 minutes & had everything taken care of within 15 minutes & were very friendly. This was our second stay here. It may not be the Ritz but for the price you would be hard pressed to find a cleaner & more comfortable room with a beautiful view.
