My husband and I stayed here just one night. When we first arrived we were greeted by the sounds of a woman playing the harp. It is a fabulous hotel with excellent staff. I would definitely stay there again!!!

If you're looking for peanuts in a vending machine in the lobby, you won't find them in a hotel of this stature. Move along to Ho-Jo. This is a serious luxury hotel and you can expect to pay for the services. I've found that the higher the rating of a hotel, the more you're likely to pay for things that are normally complimentary at other hotels. While I did have to pay for valet parking, internet access was free (as I recall). The rooms are well appointed and found the staff friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us.

The Hilton was nicely appointed and clean, as most hotels in this price range should be. However, When my friend and I checked in and each time we left the hotel and came back, the valets and bellmen were not at all helpful. They watched us struggle with our bags and barely lifted a finger to open the massive front door of the hotel. The front desk was slow with check in. Only one person was at the desk as a line formed with customers. We paid $*/night and the service level was just not comparable.
After checking in, we looked around the lobby for a place to purchase a snack. I have never seen a hotel with no snack shop in its lobby, they sold only drinks. When we asked where we could buy snacks, we were sent down the street. There are vending machines on each floor but I found it odd that there was nothing in the lobby.

Valet parking staff and the gentleman who helped with our luggage couldn't have been nicer, but the Hilton is not in the same league as the Omni we just stayed in as we made our way through Charlotte or the Sheraton where we stayed the last time we visited Baton Rouge. Parking was 5$ if you wanted to risk a public lot, 15$ for valet service. Beds were simply not as nice as those we just had at the Omni. Our view was of the multi-story parking garage. We could have had a river view, but you guessed it, that would be another 20$ per night. Location is excellent, cool art in lobby . Small room, tiny bathroom and Breakfast not included. Bottom line is that this is a nice hotel, but it's missing those small amenities which would make it a great experience.

This is the nicest hotel in Baton Rouge. The restaurant service was slow, but I suspect it was due to being so new. Rooms were beautiful.
