The hotel is a well kept property. It isn't within walking distance of the shopping area in downtown Moab, but it's a very short drive and there wasn't any trouble finding parking. It is very near the Canyonlands by Night and Day boat tours, which was very convenient.

Holliday Inn has nice clean rooms and plenty of towels for hot showers. The breakfast sucks so go elsewhere for that like down the road a few miles into moab there is a great cafe on the south side of the road. If I were to go back to Moab again I would stay at Holiday Inn.
What's up with the sheets?

Nicest place to stay in this very small town and great location to National Parks. However, sheets would not stay on bed. Appears they have added pillowtops to the existing mattresses and the sheets do not fit properly. Evening we stayed there were emergency vehicles for over an hour between 11PM and midnight. Called to front desk and was advised there was a scenic incident!! No fruit on breakfast bar and eggs tasted powdered and overcooked. Would recommend but they do need to work on a few things. Will add that the best deal for a good, reasonably priced meal is the Moab Diner. Unlike the Moab Brewery which had long lines, more expensive and an individual who vomited at the entry as we were going on, the Diner offers home cooking, friendly service, good price.

Clean hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff. On the outskirts of town near the river, perfect for what we wanted. Not real close to any restaurants, but hey it's Moab...how far away can anything be? Great place to use as a base for visiting Arches if you're not camping there.

I've always been pleased with Holiday Inn Express in other cities I've stayed in. And the Moab location lived up to my expectations. It's on the north outskirts of town, but it's only a few minutes' drive to the main downtown area where you'll find lots of restaurants, shopping, and things to do. The room was modern and very clean, and the bathroom appears recently updated. I slept like a baby on the comfy pillowtop mattress, and the massaging showerhead was really relaxing. There are cheaper places to stay in Moab, but I don't know of anything that's a better value for the price than the Holiday Inn Express.
