TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!

As soon as I walked into that nasty, smelly uncomfortable room I almost left (I'm not sure why) because I was so disappointed at the hotel I thought I was getting a good deal on. I would advise you to never stay at this hotel and to raise your budget to a Marriot to actually enjoy your vacation. I thought that the room being so close to Disneyland would mean that surely it would be a good stay but I was obviously wrong. You even have to walk outside and around a couple corners JUST TO GET SOME ICE! Seriously the front desk had to give me a map!!! I never stayed in a hotel that was this bad and advise you not to either. I also never wrote a hotel review but I would feel guilty if the same problem happened to people who stayed here in the future without me saying my input. Photos are decieving and in this case they were very. The room was also extremely small and I bought lysol to disinfect everything. Especially the beds. I would never stay there again.

Worst hotel ever

Worst hotel experience ever; let me tell you about the small, smelly, dirty old room. The bed was like sleeping on plywood, the carpet was old with bare spots, the air conditioner was noisy and ineffective, the microwave and mini fridge did not work and the walls are paper thin. I?m not sure exactly how many rooms this hotel has, probably in the neighborhood of 300, but there are only 3 ice machine for the entire property and the parking lot will probably accommodate no more than 200 vehicles. I've stayed at a Mom and Pop motel built in the 50?s or 60?s in rural Indiana that was better maintained for 1/3rd the price. If this is an example of how Ramada hotels are staffed and maintained I?d rather sleep in a pup tent. I defiantly will not stay there, or at any Ramada hotel, in the future.

This is my choice of hotel for Disneyland!

Number One, it was indeed AT THE MAINGATE to Disney, which many hotels advertise and don't deliver. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grocery store, refrigerator, cleanliness, hot water, location of room, all exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was the best I've had in Anaheim, nutritious choices and fresh bakery goods. I had a 911 medical emergency that the hotel clerk and housekeeping staff helped me through with understanding and compassion. Although we never found time for the pool, it looked inviting, well organized, and protected from the busy street. I found the hotel I will return to whenever we come to Disneyland. It was GREAT!

Clean, safe and comfortable with a great location.

This hotel is located about as close to the gate of Disneyland as you can get. It is still a bit of a walk though since Disneyland is so large. The staff was very friendly, although it was only possible to communicate with the staff at the main desk. The others spoke no English. The room was clean. The daily service to the room was very good. The free breakfast was very good for continental. The pool was nice, not too small, partially shaded. We felt quite safe and comfortable. The beds were kind of small. Other than that, it was a delight.

Good Value!

The Ramada Maingate is located a mere 5 minute walk from room to Disneyland Maingate. We have stayed at other hotels on the same strip and the Ramada is comparable. Rooms were not the best as far updated fixtures and cleanilness (Carpet was pretty yucky) However having said that ...so are most the other hotels on the "Disney" strip. They are a fantastic value you get the proximity to Disneyland (which is closer than the Disney Hotel) You get continental breakfast and pool. When you realize how little time you spend in your room then a an okay clean room is worth it. The Disneyland Hotel is easily double the price. (We have stayed there in the past) So if you are looking for luxury accomodations this is not the hotel for you. However if you want value and proximity to Disney (so you don't have to walk 15-20 minutes with young children) then this is the hotel for you.
