Okay place to stay

Very nice interior and friendly staff. Parking is very expensive (but that's Atlanta for you!). Outside of hotel is deceiving. Once inside, everything is warm and welcoming. The only problem was that our room was right next to the elevator (unlike other hotesl where there is a buffer or hallway). Luckily, it was a quiet night. Bedcovers had a stain, but the room was very clean. Nice television. Snack bar open 24 hours, which was great because we came back from a concert late and were hungry. The only problem was that the woman working behind the counter was not very friendly and acted like she did not want to be there. But the restaurant staff was really friendly and helpful. A good hotel at a good price in downtown Atlanta.

THE staff at the sheration were very friendly and nice ,at bed time when i went to bed i was a sleep in seconds, because the mattress on the bed was so comfortable, the pool area was very clean and neat ,the rest of the hotel was very nice too, everything was so relaxing that i will definately book a room at the same hotel again when i am going back to Alanta GA.The only problem i have was paying $18.00 per day for parking that i was not aware of .

Sub-par

Very polite, friendly, professional staff. Nice looking hotel. Rooms are small, but "big enough." Only wireless internet is available in-room for $10/day. Two computers inthe lobby have internet, but only the first 15 minutes is free. After that it's $2/minute. These days, internet is a utility, like water and electricity, you shouldn't be charged for it separately. The heated swimming pool was anything but. If it was heated, they have a much different opinion of what heated is than my family did. The on-site restaurants are WAY overpriced. $18/day for parking is cheesy. It was nice to be within walking distance of the Georgia Aquarium, Olympic park, etc. Seeing as how this was a family vacation and we traveled with kids, the restuarants within walking distance weren't kid-friendly for the most part. If you take kids to most of the downtown restaurants, prepare to have the waitstaff look at you like you have a lobster growing out of your nose. Overall, very unimpressive stay.

Courteous and professional staff, very pleasant stay

I stayed here on Sept 11 and 12, 2008. The staff was the highlight of the stay. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and well kept up. Air conditioning was a bit touchy but otherwise no complaints. The food was just okay, but there are plenty of other options in the area. I will definitely book there again when in Atlanta.

Adequate, but barely

We booked the room last minute for the weekend of a major convention, so I guess I should have expected the worst. It was an ADA accessible room, which had no room for toiletries near the sink and a mirror hung so low that I couldn't see past my chin. I understand it was meant for someone in a wheelchair but if they're booking the room for general use, a taller mirror would have been helpful. It also had a locker room style shower with the drain flush with the bathroom floor and a fold out seat. The drain turned out to be clogged and ended up filling the bathroom (and soaking the carpet near the bathroom) with water when we took the first shower. The 4 towels in the room didn't even begin to soak up the water. The bed was the most uncomfortable that I've ever slept on and the loveseat in the room was even worse. The staff, with one notable exception, projected a "we couldn't care less" attitude. There was no apology for the mess the clogged drain caused and when we got back to the room, the carpeting was still soaking wet. It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, (it was at least clean, if very small) but since the Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton are all only a block away, I'd suggest trying one of them first and only use the Sheraton as a last resort.
